Barbara “Bobbe” Moffitt 1930 - 2020
Bobbe lived all 90 years of her life in the Trestle Glen neighborhood of Oakland. She was a fixture in the ‘Glen’ and her wonderful neighbors gathered on her front lawn to videotape a rousing singing of Happy 90th Birthday to her on July 23, 2020. She was considered by her neighbors to be the resident-historian of Trestle Glen having lived there her entire life.
Professionally, Bobbe had longevity having worked her entire career for the Del Monte Corporation. Bobbe was a lifelong San Francisco Giants fan. She was a member of their Booster Club and even traveled with the team to Tokyo, Japan. She made the annual trip to Scottsdale, Arizona to watch the Giants in Spring Training. Bobbe caught the basketball bug and loved watching the Golden State Warriors in the Steve Kerr led years. She was the loving daughter to Alan and Loretta Moffitt (Dowling). Her sister Betty Moffitt Grady (Ralph) predeceased her in February 2017. She is survived by her niece Diane (David) Bolduan, and nephews Kevin Grady (Julie McMullan) Dan (Susan) Grady. She has five great nieces and nephews: Ryan Bolduan, Sean (Amanda) Bolduan, Amy (Garrett) Leseman, Kerry Balestrieri (Mikey) and Erin Grady. Bobbe adored babies and was very proud of her grand nieces and nephews: Sterling & Amelia Leseman, and Kinsley & Kaley Bolduan. Memorial contributions may be made to VITAS Healthcare (Hospice).
