Winston was born in Campbell Nebraska to Adolph and Isabel Koch. He is presided in death by his wife Louise (Boesiger), sisters Eunice, Genelle, Betty and bother Jack. Winston married Louise in 1946 and settled in Santa Clara. Married for 63 years they had four children, Kristen Gurney (deceased), Douglas Koch, Carol Scurich and Janice (Bob) Dangleis.
He served his country with honor during WWII as a Staff Sergent, 1st Battalion, GHQ, AFPAC. Winston worked for California Canners and Growers in Sunnyvale for over 35 years. He was a member of the Mason Friendship Lodge 210 for 52 years. He enjoyed playing golf for many years with good friends, especially as part of the "Fearsome Foursome", growing his delicious tomatoes and baking his famous biscotti.
"Mr. Winston" was a fixture on his street and will be missed by his friends and neighbors. He will be remembered by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren for his humor, generosity and his storytelling.
