Monica Wolfe-Hammons – beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend – passed away in her hometown Ramona, after putting up close to a two year fight with cancer, at the age of 46 on January 3rd 2025.
Monica was born to Alice Wolfe, and Francis J. Wolfe Jr. on October 8th 1978 in San Diego. She resided in Santee for the first 10 years of her life, before moving to Ramona, California where she graduated from Montecito High School.
Monica was known for being a good friend, a tough loving mother, and a hard working, ambitious, strong woman. She had a fiery and bold personality, and a desire to learn every where she went. Even through her battle with cancer, she was optimistic about returning to her job as a single phase meter technician where she would continue to study to reach her next career goal with the utility company.
Monica is survived by her loving husband – John Hammons – her two daughters; Rose Wolfe, and Gabrielle Burr – three sons; Kalib Burr, Jacob Burr, and Ezekiel Hammons, as well as one grandchild Vladimir Keibler, and add in her four sisters, and two brothers. She never had a shortage of love.
Monica will be missed for always giving people the words they needed to hear, rather than just the words they wanted to hear.
