Michael Patrick Guentert

Mike was married to his wife, Joy, for over 60 years until her passing in March 2018. Mike will be greatly missed by his immediate family: Daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Dave Braafladt and daughter, Allana Burton. His grandchildren: Blake and Brittany Braafladt, Amy and Marco Vasquez and Luke Simoni and Richard Simoni. And great-grandchildren: Easton and Drake Braafladt and Jordan and Camryn Joy Vasquez.

Born in Michigan, Mike was the oldest of 5 children born to Bert Guentert and Mary Jane Young. He is survived by his sister, Judy, and brothers, Robin (Janie), Mark and Kim (Pattie). Mike’s daughters appreciate the loving support they have received from their aunts and uncles as he declined over the past few years.

Mike enjoyed a 45-year career in the aerospace industry. He loved fishing, playing cards and was a weekly golfer when he was younger. But mostly his world was just built around his wife and family. He was present for every important event of their lives. A simple, quiet man who has left a legacy with the people who mattered the most to him.

For the past 2 years plus, Mike has received excellent care from Mary Toderean at Dream House Senior Care in Roseville, CA His family appreciates the support they received from this wonderful lady.

No formal services are planned. The family will gather privately in remembrance of his life.
