Robert John Jaworoski

Robert John Jaworoski was born on September 16, 1931 in Oxford, Connecticut to Leon and Frances Jaworoski.

He graduated from Stamford High School in 1949 and began working with his father, who was a Beer Distributor.

In 1952, he joined the US Army and during the Korean War, was stationed in Okinawa as a Radio and Weather Balloon Specialist.

After the war, he resumed working in the Beer Distribution industry and stayed on with the Army as a Reservist until 1960.

In 1961, he joined the Greenwich Police Department as a Patrolman and worked for GPD until retiring in 1981.

In 1982, he began working for Pitney Bowes in Stamford, Connecticut as a Quality Control Specialist and worked there until retiring in 1996.

Known as "Bob" or "Bobby" to family and friends, he was very proficient at fixing anything and everything, from radios, tv's and other electrical devices to clocks, watches and other timepieces. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, traveling and spending time with family.

Upon his retirement, he moved to Indio, California and enjoyed his retirement years in a resort community with his wife Nini, until her passing in 2014. He lived in Rancho Mirage for two years before worsening Alzheimer's necessitated a move to an assisted living facility in Riverside, California. He passed away in the early afternoon of December 24, 2020 from pneumonia after contracting Covid-19 earlier in the month.

Bob was loved by the staff at his last residences and will be missed by many.

He leaves behind sister Frances Jaworoski of Stamford, CT, son Rob Jaworoski and his wife Allison of Menifee, CA, Son Brian Jaworoski and his wife Tami of Weston, CT, Daughter Shirley Jaworoski of Stamford CT, grandchildren Jaymi, Ashley and Chase, and many other extended family members. He is preceded in passing by his daughter Jennifer.
