David Joseph Renk

David Joseph Renk , passed away on November 22, 2021, in Murrieta, Ca.

Dave was born on June 8, 1942 in Chicago, Ill. to Eugene and Estelle Renk. In 1952 Dave moved from Downers Grove, ILL. (where he grew up) to Gardena CA. with his Mother, Father and Brother Dennis. Brothers Don and Dick were both in the service at that time. Later he moved to Anaheim, CA and graduated from Anaheim High School then moved on to San Jose State University. He resided in many cities after that, Fountain Valley, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, San Juan Capistrano, Oceanside, San Marcos and Wildomar.

On November 26, 1975 he married Shirley and they spent 46 wonderful years together. They were so lucky to have been able to travel in later years and visited 34 countries. So many great memories of so many things and places.

Dave was an avid golfer and became a member of the El Camino Country Club where he made many lasting friendships. One of his greatest sorrows was when he had to give up golf due to his bad back. Dave also was a sports car enthusiast and in the late 70’s he helped start the Sterling Sports Car Club. Many rally’s and trips were had with great friends. He also loved to read, tell jokes and was a very good artist. He was known for his Bear Hugs, Donald Duck impersonations and being Fire Marshal on the 4th of July.

Dave started his career at Disneyland and later went into sales at Hunt Wesson. Then he went into the circuit board industry working for large manufactures. He retired in 2007 and never looked back.

He is survived by his wife Shirley, his brother Dennis and wife Vicki, 6 nephews, 2 nieces, 12 great nieces and nephews and some great great nieces and nephews. Also many close friends and relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Don and Dick, his daughter Debbie and son Robert .
