I knew Gary very well during our teen years. I tagged along to numerous drag races around the state of Kansas. His parents were dear people. My sympathy to his family.

Gary, and his brother Galen, had a very close family relationship with their three double cousins during their younger years. The oldest and youngest, in both sets. were very close in age, too.

At times, a kindred spirit of a brotherly bond was experienced.

However, distances can have an effect on even those relationships overtime, when starting their own families and when grandchildren enter the picture.

Even though those distances caused a drift of sorts, the emotional, bond was always in our hearts. We hadn't saw Gary since the 2002 Harold Reunion was held in Oregon last. We still continued to communicate by voice calls, e-mailing, and text messages.

Those great memories will be present for this cousin.
