Victor Martinez Castillo

Victor Martinez Castillo of Hayward, California passed away on February 10, 2024, at the age of 46.He was born on September 15, 1977, in Gilroy, California to his Father Victor Castillo, and his Mother Maria Martinez Lopez. He left behind two children, Alexandra and Dominic Castillo as well as his Step-father Daniel Figueroa Lopez. He also left behind 3 grandchildren.

He is preceded by his brother Rene M. Flores and his grandparents Juan and Martina Martinez.

Victor grew up in Gilroy. He loved living in the countryside and spending time with his school friends.

He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Administration of Justice from San Jose State University in 2003, a Masters degree in Administration of Justice from Boston University in 2007, as well as a Masters degree in Education from California State University East Bay in 2021.

Victor loved his family, friends, students, and colleagues. If you needed help, he would always lend a helping hand. He loved teaching Criminal Justice. He was a mentor to his students and alumni. He loved to hike, cook and spend time with family and friends gatherings. He loved music, playing guitar and Karaoke.

Victor will be remembered for his smile, kindness, love and big heart.
